Imagine downloading torrents like this:
You walk into the worlds BIGGEST store. It has every single game, movie, book, program, and song you could ever want. The best thing about it, you can get EVERYTHING for free.
Well what is "bittorrent" sharing?
It is the most popular form of P2P (Peer-to-Peer) file sharing.
The first thing you need to do is download a BitTorrent client. I use uTorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/)
uTorrent in a nutshell will allow you to download torrents. After you click on the Link above, click the green button that says uTorrents Free. Follow the instructions that uTorrent gives you to download.
The next step, you need to download a virtual CD drive. I use Daemon Tools Lite (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/downloads). This is a program that allows you to run the torrent installation on your computer. In other words, you computer thinks it has the CD in the drive, when it really doesn't. This program does not contain spyware or any sort of viruses.
You might need to download WinZip (http://www.winzip.com/win/en/index.htm). This will let you extract some files from the torrents you download. Games and other software might require you to extract the files in order to mount the image on Daemon Tools. Most torrents do not require this.
Now since you are done with downloading the software needed to download torrents, lets download torrents.
Now to find a good Torrent download site. I use Kick Ass Torrents.com (http://kat.ph/) You can find a list of many good Torrent websites here (http://netforbeginners.about.com/od/peersharing/a/torrent_search.htm). DO NOT USE PIRATEBAY!! Even though Piratebay is big, it is a little too big. Piratebay is unsafe and you will get messed up, along with your computer. In the Search Bar, type in the name of what you want. For explanation purposes lets use Need for Speed: The Run on http://kat.ph/. After you type "Need For Speed: The Run" in your search bar, click search. Hundreds of Need For Speeds come up. It will tell you a copious amount of information about that torrent without even clicking it. For example, the size is 14.96 GB, It has 4 Files, 2 months old, 4029 Seeders and 4680 Leechers. Seeders is good. The more seeders the torrent has, the faster the torrent is. Most all torrents will have leechers. This doesn't mean it is bad. After you click on the torrent, depending on which site you use, ratings should come up. +653 and -70. The Thumbs up is good the Thumbs down is bad (duh). Next thing you want to do is look at the comments. Make sure one of the top comments is not "This game sucks. It has a virus, do not download." Some people will put bad comments just because they do not know how to download a torrent and get frustrated. Click "Download Torrent" It will have a little crown to the left of the button. Your download should start in uTorrent.
Downloads can take anywhere from 20 seconds to 3 days depending on your ISP (Internet Service Provider), File Size, and bandwidth usage.
After the torrent downloads it should say "Seeding", "Queued Seed". Make sure you seed for a 1GB:1GB ratio. After you seed for a 1:1 ratio, right click the torrent and click "Stop". You are nearly done!
Open up Daemon Tools Lite. When Daemon Tools pops up, look at the middle left side. A button with a white piece of paper that has a CD on it and a PLUS sign should be there. That is the Add Image button, click it. Next, find where your torrent downloaded at (Mine is in my Downloads folder). Double-Click the folder and double-click the .iso inside of it. Doing this should add the image into Daemon Tools. Double-Click the image in Daemon Tools, this will mount the image (AKA Put it in your "CD Drive"). After mounting the image, install the game by running the set-up. After the installation finishes, you will need a crack for the authentication key (Most games will require this). To get that crack, go to "My computer" while your game is mounted through Daemon Tools and under "Devices with Removable Storage" should be the game disk. Right click the game disk, and click "Open in new window" This will contain the folder(s) that has the crack and maybe a launcher in it. Go to where you downloaded your torrent from(Website) and find where the crack is located. EX: "Copy over the cracked content from the /Crack dir on DVD2 to your

Got o "My Computer">"Program Files (x86)">Wherever the game downloaded. Open up the game folder
Now paste the cracked content into this folder and click "Copy and Replace" as many times as needed. After that run the game. You are done! Happy Downloading!
